JV Field at Irondequoit High School

Over the last few years, major renovations have been made to the athletic facilities at Irondequoit High School. The most visible was the varsity stadium, with the installation of a Field Turf surface and for the first time, lights. But several other locations on the campus have received major upgrades, including the junior varsity field just to the East. The new scoreboard is a nice addition, but the one that most people seem to benefit from is the new track. I'm not sure which company actually installed the track (I think it may have been Spiketop) but it's a polyurethane surface that's not only durable but provides a reliable running surface. I believe the track is open to the public seven days a week from dusk to dawn, and almost every time I'm in the area there are a handful of joggers or walkers taking advantage of the facility.
